Gutter questions

What homeowners ask us most. Anything else, give us a call.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Typically once or twice a year: once in the fall when the leaves have fallen, and again in the spring to catch the debris that found its way in over the winter. Our crew removes all debris by hand and flushes your downspouts.

How many downspouts does my house need?

The general rule is a downspout for every 40 feet of gutter, emptied at least 10 feet away from the house. Our standard downspout size is 2”x3”, and we can special order 3”x4” downspouts upon request.

Do I need snow breaks on a metal roof?

Snow breaks are highly recommended on homes and buildings with metal roofs. Snow and ice back up against the snow break and harden into a dam, which keeps them from avalanching and ripping your rain gutters off.

How do you fasten your gutters?

We use hidden hangers to securely fasten our gutter systems for added strength and durability. For homes with metal roofing, gutters are installed using wrap-around straps for additional stability.
